  • Journal of Urban Planning and Land Law

Journal of Urban Planning and Land Law (JUPLL) is a prominent scholarly journal dedicated to exploring the dynamic intersection of spatial planning, agrarian policy, and land law frameworks within both national and global contexts. The journal's paramount focus lies in the realms of Agrarian Law, Spatial Planning Law, and Public Policy, bridging the gap between the physical design of urban spaces and the legal certainty that governs them. Within the sphere of contemporary legal studies, the Journal of Urban Planning and Land Law serves as a conduit for scholarly exploration and analysis of the ever-evolving land law landscape. This encompasses a wide spectrum of issues such as the intricate dynamics of Agrarian Reform, land acquisition for public interest, the digitalization of land administration, and the burgeoning regulatory challenges in smart city development. The journal provides a comprehensive understanding of contemporary agrarian and spatial law phenomena, creating a space for rigorous discussions and critical insights for both academics and practitioners. Complementing its focus on urban issues, the Journal of Urban Planning and Land Law distinguishes itself through a steadfast commitment to agrarian justice and the robust protection of land rights.

By adopting an interdisciplinary lens, the journal seeks to unravel the complexities of land disputes, ownership rights, and the equitable distribution of agrarian resources. This approach facilitates a nuanced understanding of land governance principles, encourages cross-sectoral dialogue, and contributes to a more harmonized global legal discourse on spatial management. Agrarian law analyses within the journal encompass diverse aspects, including land registration systems, the protection of customary land rights (hak ulayat), mechanisms for land conflict resolution, and the legal implications of land banking policies. The Journal of Urban Planning and Land Law extends its scholarly gaze beyond the confines of national borders, recognizing the vital importance of regional and global perspectives in agrarian issues. In doing so, the journal acknowledges the interconnected nature of land-related issues and emphasizes the need to examine them within broader contexts, including the global sustainable development agenda. This global outlook encourages scholars to transcend geographical boundaries in their research, fostering intellectual exchange and worldwide collaboration in the fields of agrarian law and regional planning.
