Author Guideline
Author Guidelines
Journal of Public Health and Nursing (JPHN) is a scientific open-access journal published by Abhinaya Publisher. All submitted manuscripts are reviewed through a double-blind peer-review process. Authors are advised to read and follow the author guidelines before submission.
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be written in English.
- Article length should be 6–16 pages. Articles exceeding 16 pages are subject to editorial review.
- Manuscripts must be prepared using the JPHN manuscript template (MS Word format).
- References must be managed using Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote.
- Only manuscripts meeting these guidelines will be considered for review.
2. Manuscript Structure
- Title
- Maximum 20 words.
- Written in uppercase, bold, Times New Roman, 14 pt.
- Clear, concise, and descriptive; avoid abbreviations or symbols.
- Author Information
- Author(s): Full name(s), 10 pt.
- Affiliations: Include institution, address, city, postal code, and country (9 pt).
- Corresponding Author: Must be indicated with an asterisk (*), and include email address.
- Abstract
- Word count: 200–300 words.
- One paragraph including: introduction, methods, results, and conclusion.
- No abbreviations or citations.
- Use clear and neutral language.
- Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt.
- Keywords
- Include 3–5 relevant keywords, separated by semicolons (;).
- Keywords should reflect the core concepts of the article for searchability.
3. Section Structure
- Introduction
- Brief background and rationale.
- Identify the research problem, previous efforts, gaps, and study contribution.
- Conclude with the objective of the research.
- Avoid extensive literature reviews.
- Methods
- Describe research design, population, sampling, data collection and analysis.
- Mention any ethical approval with reference number and institution.
- For human/animal research, explain informed consent procedures.
- Results
- Present findings clearly and objectively.
- Include up to 6 tables and/or figures.
- Use Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.15 spacing.
- Tables: Only horizontal lines allowed.
- Figures: Caption in 10 pt, 1.15 spacing.
- Discussion
- Interpret findings in relation to theory and previous studies.
- Highlight new insights, contradictions, and practical relevance.
- Emphasize health or clinical implications.
- Conclusion
- Highlight the main findings and their implications.
- Suggest areas for future research.
- Avoid exaggeration or unsupported claims.
- Acknowledgments
- Recognize individuals, institutions, or funding sources that supported the research.
- Do not include authors in this section.
- References
- Use the Vancouver citation style.
- Format references in order of appearance in the text.
- Use proper journal abbreviations.
- Preferably cite:
- Recent publications (last 10 years)
- Indexed journals (Scopus, ScienceDirect)
- Avoid predatory or unreliable sources

4. Submission Process
- All manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS) at: https://journal.abhinaya.co.id/index.php/JPHN
- Authors must register/login before submitting.
- The editorial team will perform a plagiarism check, initial screening, and then proceed with double-blind peer review.
